“Youngcare is very proud to announce that Michael Atkinson from 9News in Brisbane has joined as an Ambassador. Michael is no stranger to Youngcare having participated in the gruelling Simpson Desert Challenge in 2021, where he walked over 250klms to raise funds for Youngcare’s Mission. Michael, with the support from Channel 9, very generously also hosts Youngcare fundraising events, such as The Bolt and Ribs & Reds Brisbane.
With a professional career that includes investment banking, sports administration and now media, Michael brings a unique blend of skills and experiences to the table. Michael is also a sought after MC and facilitator.
Most importantly, Michael is a family man to his wife Sophie and three young boys – now that’s busy!
