The completely isolated environment provides a striking reflection of the challenges that young people with complex and permanent physical disabilities face on a daily basis. Funds raised by the trekkers will have a profound impact on the lives of these young people and their loved ones.
- Nine days in the desert
- Trek more than 230km across the geographical centre of the Munga-Thirri Simpson Desert.
- Climb more than 1,000 sand dunes
- Carry a 10kg backpack
- 0° at night to 40° during the day
Raise life-changing funds for young people with complex and permanent physical disabilities.
How you can get involved
A trekker can register on their own, or an organisation can nominate a team member.
The trekker must raise minimum $40,000, through internal and external engagement.
Funds raised will help Youngcare award lifechanging grants, build specialist disability housing and support families through our free helpline.
