The QUT Optometry Complex Care and Disability Clinic is designed for people who may find standard eye tests difficult or uncomfortable. This includes people with physical disability, complex health needs, or challenges with communication or movement.

• Longer appointment times (so there is no rush)

• A calm, respectful approach tailored to each person

• Support for people who may not be able to use standard eye testing methods

• Specialised equipment to support people with limited mobility

• Telehealth appointments available on request

• Free glasses (if required) for eligible people with a government concession / health care card, through the Medical Aids Subsidy Scheme
  
• Free parking (including disabled) for two hours.

Who can attend

• People of all ages, abilities and diagnoses, including individuals who are non-verbal
• People with physical disability or complex care needs
• People with a Health Care Card or concession card
• Referrals are welcome, but you don’t need one
