Ladies lunching for change
On 14 April Youngcare hosted an intimate lunch to launch the first event of the 2016 Y Women series, at Mr & Mrs G Riverbar, with spectacular views overlooking the Brisbane River and Story Bridge.
Melissa Downes, Channel Nine News Presenter shared her Youngcare journey and how this led her to embark on this year’s Simpson Desert Challenge. Resident, Julia Agostinelli from the Youngcare Wesley Mission Queensland Apartments at Sinnamon Park inspired our Y Women attendees with insights about living in aged care for four years.
Thanks to the generosity of all who joined us and our sponsors, Clark Real Estate, Kabuki Boy, Audi Centre Springwood, Dial an Exchange, and Brazilian Beauty Albany Creek; the lunch raised over $13,000.
