Michael Atkinson
Youngcare Ambassador
Michael Atkinson is a prominent sports presenter known for his work at Stan Sport and Nine News. Prior to his role as a host and reporter, Atkinson made significant contributions to the world of professional rugby as a Team Manager with the Queensland Reds.
Lisa Cox
Youngcare Ambassador
Lisa Cox is a multi-awarded writer, presenter and consultant based in Australia. She is also the author of two books, an advocate and ambassador. Lisa is on a mission to muse, educate and challenge. Her work has been published nationally and internally for publications like Huff Post and The Sydney Morning Herald.
Josh Hazelwood
Youngcare Ambassador
Josh Hazelwood a renowned Melbourne artist celebrated for his intricate and expansive sculptures joins Youngcare as an Ambassador. Our collaboration began with the thrilling #TheBigDrive fundraiser —a cause Josh passionately championed.
Our Board
They bring to the organisation a strong mix of skills and experience ranging from property and construction to finance, media and marketing. The Board is responsible for setting Youngcare’s strategy and ensuring that we are on track to meet our goals. They make sure that every dollar we receive is put to the best possible use in our mission to fight for freedom of choice for young people with high care needs and their loved ones.
The Board oversees corporate governance, ensuring that we act in a socially responsible way, manage risk and comply with all the relevant rules and regulations. Outside of the boardroom, members play an active role in supporting Youngcare by representing us at fundraising events and functions, meeting MPs and government officials and promoting the Youngcare cause.
