About the Role:
We are on the lookout for our new full-time Property Manager to join our close-knit, high performing team! The Youngcare SDA portfolio is growing, and will soon have 100 tenants! Reporting to the Housing Operations Manager, the Property Manager role is focussed on sourcing, processing and allocating participants to the Youngcare SDA portfolio, that meet the participants environmental and functional needs. This role is critical in maintaining occupancy rates, and creating new partnerships and pathways to continue to grow the portfolio.
To succeed in this role, the Property Manager will be:
- a self-starter, with strong networking capabilities, generating referrals for upcoming SDA developments and filling SDA vacancies across the Youngcare SDA portfolio;
- working with various approved and certified Supported Independent Living (SIL) providers, community organisations, Hospitals, OT’s and industry referral agencies to manage a pipeline of residents, and drive new referral pathways;
- ongoing promotion of Youngcare Housing, including management of marketing tasks;
- collaborate with our Partners, with concise, timely and accurate reporting;
- maintaining excellence in housing outcomes by providing expert advice in relation to NDIS SDA/SIL process;
- engaging with SIL providers to ensure that participants support needs can be met within identified housing options;
- managing SDA complaints including NDIS reportable incidents;
- keeping ahead of changes occurring in the sector, monitoring updates from the NDIS, and engaging the SDA alliance;
- support Youngcare Tenants and their families to ensure the wellbeing and safety of tenants is being upheld.
Your Skills and Attributes:
The successful applicant will hold the following skills and attributes:
- Advanced knowledge of occupational therapy or Allied Health experience within the disability sector, or in-depth experience providing support to NDIS participants with complex needs;
- Previous Property / Real Estate experience also high regarded;
- High level knowledge of current relevant health and disability related programs in operation throughout Australia;
- In depth knowledge of legislation and process governing the NDIS;
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills by being able to identify and implement solutions to address difficult situations;
- Excellent writing skills, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting requests;
- Thrives working collaboratively and being part of a team.

About the Role:
Due to our current Event Manager going on maternity leave later this year, we are looking for an experienced Fundraising Events Manager to join our team on a 12 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to be an integral part of Youngcare as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary!
The Events Manager is responsible for the development of Youngcare’s Events strategy and the seamless delivery of all events. The role aims to position Youngcare as the charity of choice for beneficiary events in Australia and for Youngcare’s events to be sought after experiences that not only meet financial targets but also support the Youngcare brand and broader strategic objectives.
As Events Manager you play a prominent role in representing Youngcare at networking and fundraising events and liaise with a broad array of stakeholders both internal and external to Youngcare.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the Events Team including coordinating and overseeing fundraising events from start to finish including:
- Develop Youngcare’s Event Strategy including strategic directions for the Events department including KPIs and Budgets.
- Lead, coach and support the Event Coordinators.
- Managing and supporting stakeholders including venue, catering, AV, speakers, entertainment and more
- Working with and managing event committees where required
- Working collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications team on the development of all event collateral, including EDM’s, programs and social media
- Develop risk management plans
- Sourcing sponsorships including cash sponsorship, in-kind support, prizes and donations (gifts) for events and fulfilling any sponsorship requirements.
- Post Event – including reconciling financials against budget, data base management and post event reports
- Beneficiary Events – source beneficiary events and support any beneficiary events on the Youngcare calendar
Your Skills and Attributes:
- Minimum of three years experience as an Event Manager, ideally within Fundraising or within NFP.
- Qualifications in event management or marketing is considered advantageous.
- Able to travel when required locally and interstate with own driver’s license.
- Understanding of developing, planning and following budgets
- Able to encourage and coordinate the performance of the Events Team so that, collectively, they deliver on agreed outcomes.
- Flexible with an understanding that evenings and weekend work will be required at times.
- Excellent writing skills, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting requests.
- Decision making skills coupled with integrity to ensure the correct course of action when faced with a choice between feasible alternatives.
- Excellent time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
