Memories of the Gympie Music Muster
Forty intrepid volunteers and staff packed their Akubras and gumboots and headed up to the Amamoor Creek State Forest in late August to sell programs and merchandise for Youngcare. Little did they know that the weekend would also involve line dancing and singing along in the mud to Sheppard.
Youngcare was the nominated charity for the Gympie Music Muster 2015 and it was heart-warming to know that campfires all over the site were individually raising funds for young Aussies with high care needs, often in some very creative ways! It was an amazing weekend and were incredibly grateful to everyone who supported Youngcare.
Here are some of the volunteer stories from the weekend:
“We loved being at the Gympie Muster for Youngcare. It was a lot of fun and everyone was so generous.”

“These bikers camp here every year and raise money for the Musters’ chosen charity. If given the opportunity to do it again I would in a heartbeat. The atmosphere, characters and ‘bonhomie’ displayed and felt at this event is similar to none. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing, feeling and experiencing the Muster and would recommend it to anybody”.
