Wooloowin Beach Visit
With the country now well in the throes of winter, warm beach days are a distant memory for most.
But for three of the housemates at the Youngcare Wooloowin Share House, an unseasonably late start to the cold weather proved an ideal chance to enjoy a splash in the surf at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.
The logistical challenges of getting onto the beach and into the water were solved with the help of two chairs, provided by Push Mobility, which are specifically built for beach conditions.
A gusty sea breeze wasn’t enough to wipe the smiles off the housemates’ faces!
Fossil’s Morning Tea
Fossil Group’s management team paid a visit to meet Todd Winther at Youngcare Wesley Mission Brisbane Apartments at Sinnamon Park and surprised the residents with a delicious morning tea.

Snowing in Brisbane!
Providing a vast contrast to the sunny beach day at Burleigh, Youngcare housemates made the most of June’s cold snap with ice skating at the Winter Festival in Brisbane’s King George Square.
For most of the group, it was their first time experiencing snow and certainly their first time on the ice!
With wheelchair friendly activities and free entry for carers, the Winter Festival was an event enjoyed by all. Youngcare was the beneficiary of the festival with $1 from every ticket sold going towards helping young Aussies with high care needs.
