Volunteer spotlight – Belinda
“Being a young person myself, I like knowing I’m helping other young people. My mother was an aged care nurse for several years and would often share with me the stories of the young people in her facility so I didn’t need convincing to volunteer when the opportunity presented itself through my workplace.
I really feel that when I volunteer for events that I’m part of a group that is welcoming and accepting of every different individual volunteering their time to support the young people who deserve better than aged care.
