Neighbouring the existing Youngcare Specialist Disability Housing solution at Wooloowin, this development provides 6 independent living spaces for young people aged 18-65 with high physical care needs.

This development consists of 3x 2 bedroom (1 bedroom + study)  townhouses and a four bedroom share house (three high care bedrooms and 1 x carer room).

Developing a house specifically designed for young people with high physical support needs allows for a greater connectedness to loved ones, opportunities for socialising and more control over their lives. The new development also includes onsite parking and shared common spaces such as gardens and a covered alfresco space for enjoyment by tenants and their guests.

The design complements surrounding housing by maintaining high architectural quality, reflecting the look and feel of the Queenslanders within the area. Youngcare prides itself on delivering the highest possible standards of living for young people with high care needs, as a result this development incorporates Youngcare’s platinum design and integrated technologies to allow young people with high care needs to live with independence.

Youngcare is proud to be partnering with Community Housing Ltd, Queensland’s largest and trusted not for profit community housing provider, on this significant project. As owners of the development, Community Housing manages the building and delivery of the development. The collaboration between these two reputable organisations has delivered fantastic, tangible outcomes for the community.

Both Youngcare and Community Housing would also like to acknowledge the Queensland State Government for the generous donation of land.
