Big day yesterday for the trekkers, 53,000 steps and around 33-34 km’s covered!
There are sore feet everywhere and all really tired but pushing through – inspired by the words of their loved ones and Youngcare advocates. The weather is still clear and crisp for them which is brilliant.
Today they are walking 33 km’s so another long one and expect to reach camp around 5.30pm. They have certainly broken the back of it now and are on the homeward stretch!
In the dehydrated food stakes, the dry cottage pie is winning as the most popular dish! All are looking forward to a quality pub meal when they reach Birdsville on Thursday!
