Beautiful new homes in Wooloowin and North Queensland
On Friday 18th September, with Community Housing (QLD) Ltd, the Wooloowin Stage II development was officially opened! Shortly after, we were welcomed into the Townsville community with open arms on Monday 21st September.
The stunning new development in Wooloowin is now home to six young people with high care disabilities. The share house accommodates three young people with physical disabilities. The three townhouses are perfect for the new residents who have chosen a more independent lifestyle. There will be on-site, 24-hour care provided by carers specifically chosen by the new residents and their families.
The Youngcare team are so grateful to Community Housing (QLD) Ltd and the State Government for their commitment to supporting young people with high care disabilities through the development of Wooloowin Stage II.
The Youngcare duplexes in Townsville are now home to three young women with high care disabilities and were officially opened by new resident Jasmin and Philip Thompson OAM MP.
The spacious duplexes are completely equipped with automated technologies and accessible finishings, to ensure the residents can live with independence. With a vegetable garden out the back, and plenty of space to enjoy the Townsville sunshine, the new residents have every opportunity to socialise and entertain guests as they wish!
Jasmin is over the moon with her new place, she plans to decorate with a beach theme and can’t wait to finally live with independence.
